Drug Overdose Triggers Possession Charges

Notable incidents from the District A-15 journal for Aug. 20-24.

These reports were submitted from the Boston Police Department and took place within Charlestown's District, A-15. The time and place of the alleged crimes are listed. Persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

Drugs
08/24/2012, 8:10 p.m., The officers responded to Bunker Hill Street on a report of an unconscious person. Upon arrival, the officer observed the victim being treated by EMS for an overdose. The victim transported to hospital. He will be summonsed into court on a drug possession offense.

Death investigation
08/20/2012, 4:45 a.m. The officer responded to Adams Street for a sudden death. Upon arrival the officer observed the victim. They were pronounced non-viable. The victim transported to the office of medical examiner.

Assault and battery with a dangerous weapon
08/22/2012, 3:13 a.m., The officers responded to Tufts Street for a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, the officers observed the victim being treated by EMS. The victim was transported to hospital for further treatment. The incident to be further investigated.

Warrant arrest
08/22/2012, 11:43 a.m. A suspect was arrested on Medford Street on an outstanding warrant issued out of Boston Municipal Court.

Drinking in public
08/22/2012, 10:03 p.m., While performing a code 19 on Bunker Hill Street, the officer observed the suspect drinking from an open bottle of beer. He will be summonsed into Charlestown court.

Search warrant
08/22/2012,11:45 p.m., The detectives from District A-1 executed a search warrant on an apartment on Tufts Street. As a result of the search warrant several items were seized.

Warrant
08/24/2012, 2:37 a.m., The suspect was arrested on Main Street on an outstanding warrant issued out of Charlestown district court.
