Charlestown Man Charged In Jones Murder

Boston Police arrested a Charlestown man for the May 7 murder of Charlestown resident Steve Jones.

Pablo Flores, 20, was taken into custody by Boston Police's Youth Violence Strike Force on Wednesday, Sept. 4, in Dorchester. Flores was charged with murder and other offenses, according to WCVB.com

Jones, 21, was gun down around 10:18 p.m. near 92 Monument St. while he was walking to meet his mother at a local restaurant. Flores was charged with murder and other offenses, according to police reports.

"The next thing I know I was receiving a phone call that my son was dead, dead on arrival, shot twice due to breaking up a fight. The fight was between two people that he didn't even know," said Susan Rawlinson, Jones' mother, in May.

One of those people was Flores, police said at the time.
