Charlestown Police Log: Coffee Rage on First Avenue, Taxi Robbed at Bunker Hill Housing

Incidents handled by Boston Police in the neighborhood.

Dec. 16: As the result of a drug investigation on Medford Street, a man was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle without a license. He was also issued a citation for possession of pot.

Dec. 17: A taxi driver reported to Area A officers that as he was about to drop a woman off in the Bunker Hill Housing Development, a man approached the cab opened the driver's door and while brandishing a knife demanded his wallet. It appeared the the woman was in on the assault as both she and the assailant fled into on the development's building but he could not tell which one. Police did discover that the incident was captured by video surveillance camera. Detectives are on this one. 

Dec. 17: After another drug investigation on Medford Street, another man was given a citation for possessing marijuana.

Dec. 17: A car pulled up the pumps of a Cambridge Street gas station, filled his tank with $50 of gas, got back in the car and left without paying his tab. The attendant was able to get the car's license plate number but could not ID the driver.

Dec. 22: A First Avenue shop owner told officers that a man entered his store seeking to purchase a cup o' joe. Unfortunately for the customer, the coffee machine was broken. This did not sit well with the caffeine-deprived gentleman who became quickly irate at the fact and began throwing chairs around the store striking the owner in the leg and smashing one of the establishment's windows. Once again, video caught the assailant during his coffee rage, an individual the police are familiar with. Detectives are on the case.
