George DeRosa: Dowd Paper Warehouseman, Raised in Charlestown

Services will be held Wednesday and Thursday in Charlestown.

George F. DeRosa, 83 of East Falmouth and previously of Allston and Charlestown, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, according to his obituary

Raised in Charlestown, he was educated in the Boston Public School System and worked for more than two decades as a warehouseman for the Dowd Paper Company in Woburn, and was also a member of the Teamsters Union Local #379. 

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 19 at 10 a.m. from the Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. in Charlestown, followed by a funeral mass at St. Frances De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. in Charlestown at 11 a.m. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, June 18 from 4-8 p.m.
