The law that Gov. Patrick signed allows for up to three Las Vegas-style casinos and a slots parlor in Massachusetts, but the question of where to put each of them is still on the table.
The law includes some restrictions--according to Inside Gaming, the state has been divided into three zones, Western Massachusetts, Southeastern Massachusetts, and the Boston area, with each zone only allowed to have one casino.
In a recent report from WBUR, Mayor Menino is pushing for the Boston casino to be a blue-line trip away, at Suffolk Downs in Eastie, and pooh-poohing the possibilities of a casino in Foxborough.
So, all things considered, Bostonians, how do you feel? Would you rather a casino in the 'burbs or your backyard?
