Navy Yard Views - Parris Landing

It's the annual Parris Landing condominium association meeting tomorrow night at 6:00pm at the YMCA/Constitution Inn - Dave Powers Room - there are 2 trustee positions open and 3 candidates as follows:

Suzanne Brunner - I served on a PL committee with Susanne and am impressed with her ongoing hard work on behalf of Parris Landing and her organizational skills.

Richard Dickinson - A neighbor and also fellow dog lover - Richard has expressed an interest in enhancing our property values and has taken an interest in our landscaping.  Richard has shown his skill and commitment by creating a beautiful garden at the entrance to building 5 right across from the pool.  Maybe he will start a committee so that the professionals that we pay have more oversight.

Marie Richards a long time resident and friend is also running, however, I have not had a chance to find out what Marie's plan is if elected to the board of Trustees.

All Parris Landing Residents and Owners are delighted that our property values continue to climb.  There were a couple of tough years in 2010 and 2011 but this past year sales are averaging $520 - $540 per square foot.

I chatted briefly with our Association President, Doug Pope, last week and we discussed all the amenities that are offered at Parris Landing and how the board has worked hard to keep our association fees down.  I am from the school of preventative maintenance and spending the money now to have an ongoing capital improvement plan going forward.  What do other owners think about our condo fees and what are your thoughts about maintaining our investment?  Thank you for attending the meeting tomorrow night, casting your vote for the trustees and for caring about Parris Landing!
