Fundraiser to Benefit 'Team Charlestown' in Avon Walk for Breast Cancer
Olivia Browning of Charlestown is donating proceeds of sales to charities participating in the event this year.
Charlestown residents this week will have a chance to support their neighbors participating in this year's Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.
The Olivia Browning of Charlestown gift shop will be hosting a fundraiser Thursday night, with 10 percent of proceeds from the sales of special tee-shirts and necklaces benefiting the charities of Team Charlestown, which comprises members of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Charlestown Boys & Girls Club and the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, who will take part in the Avon Walk on May 17-18. Residents are also encouraged to drop off a check for a specific organization.
The event will be held on Thursday, March 27 from 5-9 p.m. at 20 City Sq. in Charlestown.
