On Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th of August, Counter Terrorism Expert David Ashworth, will be conducting a two day seminar on Terrorism Awareness - each day can be taken separately or the two together to complete the full course. David is a former member of the United Kingdom's Special Forces (UKSF) and has provided training and protection for UK and US other government organizations (OGO's) in some of the world's worst trouble spots since the late 1990's. He is a real world operator who will be coming straight from operational duties in the Middle East to conduct this seminar. This type of training is rarely available to civilians outside of conflict zones and hostile territories and this is a unique opportunity to train with somebody who provides this type of training to individuals who work and operate at the highest level.
The two days will be a mix of classroom style learning and hands on training which will look at terrorist threats, various terrorist organizations and their modus operandi, and the "attack cycle" of an attack along with how to recognize the potential signals and indicators that precede it. Time will be given to looking at surveillance and hostage/hijack situations and how to prevent, behave and respond to such incidents, along with IED (Improvised Explosive Devices) types and identification (such as those used in the Boston Marathon Bombings).
Both days will run 9 AM to 5 PM, with an hour for lunch and regular breaks throughout the day.
