Paul Revere Row Reenactment

Boston National Historical Park, the USS CONSTITUTION Museum and the Paul Revere House will host a dramatic reenactment of Paul Revere's historic row across Boston Harbor to Charlestown where he began his famous midnight ride 239 years ago. Activities will take place at the USS CONSTITUTION Museum beginning at 7:00 p.m. on April 20th and will coincide with the annual Old North Church lantern service ceremony. Join staff from Boston National Historical Park, the Paul Revere House and the USS CONSTITUTION Museum to commemorate this historic event and kick off school vacation week.   Take a peek at the museum’s War of 1812 exhibits. Listen to a dramatic reading of Longfellow’s poem The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere. Then walk outside where you will see the lanterns shining across the harbor and greet “Paul Revere” as he arrives in Charlestown. Listen as Paul discusses his plans with the Captain of the Charlestown Militia and gives him a hearty HUZZAH! as he heads toward Main Street to borrow a horse from Deacon Larkin and begin his ride.
