Warren Tavern to Host Fundraiser for Community Center on Sunday

Have a pint and make a donation to the neighborhood's community center this weekend.

Today is Wednesday, Oct. 5. Here are five things you need to know today.

1. There's a fundraiser for the this Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the The tavern will be serving up free music and appetizers. Stop by, have a pint, make a donation to the center -- and enter their 'pot of gold' raffle. More details .

3. Reminder: will be doing readings Thursday at 3 p.m. at Olivia Browning. Call 617-242-2299 if you want to schedule a session. 

4. This sounds kind of magical: On Oct. 16 at 2 p.m., King’s Chapel and Park Street Church will participate in a city-wide bell chiming to celebrate the raising of a historic bell, made by Paul Revere in 1801, to Old South Meeting House clock tower. As the bell is hoisted by a crane up to the tower, church bells throughout Boston will chime in unison in a city-wide salute to mark the special occasion. The 879-pound Paul Revere bell is one of 46 surviving church bells made by the famous patriot.
