T Employee Returns Lost Wallet with Over $900 in it in Charlestown
An MBTA employee returned a wallet with a huge amount of cash in it.
What would you do if you found a wallet on an MBTA bus with more than $900 in it?
An MBTA bus repairman did what some would not suspect: He turned it into his instructor. Gaynol Waugh had been training to get his commercial driver’s license, according to the Boston Globe.
Waugh boarded the Route 101 bus in the Charlestown garage at around 8:30 a.m. Monday morning with the rest of his training class. He found the wallet on a seat near the front of the bus and turned it in.

The instructor then turned the wallet into an MBTA inspector, who turned it into the district superintendent who contacted the owner. Through this chain, not one of the $912 was taken.
