Durty Harry's Hosting Their Fourth Howl-een Party

Put your dog in a costume and head on down to the Harborview on Friday night.

Durty Harry’s is hosting their annual Howl-een Party at Harborview in the Navy Yard from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday, October 19. Admission is $10 and all proceeds go to Lucky Lab Rescue.

The co-sponsors are The Navy Yard Bistro, The Friends of Charlestown Navy Yard, Fido Loves and Monumentails. The costume party will be held at Harborview in the Navy Yard, allowing for more space and more dog fun. There will be free food and drinks for the two feet and four-legged crowd alike. There will be a contest for the best dog costume.

“Lots of dogs in Charlestown are adopted through Lucky Lab Rescue,” Michelle Fournier of Durty Harry’s said. Fournier said that she expects about 250 people and dogs at this shindig. “This is easily the biggest dog event in town.”

“The best costumes so far have been a yellow lab dressed as 80’s Madonna with the bra, the bracelets, the necklaces and such. The other was a punk rocker pooch with a purple Mohawk,” Fournier said. “The other ones were two schnauzers dressed as a chia pet and as Richard Simmons respectively.”

There will also be a photo booth with photographer Jay Stebbins of Fiddo Loves.
