Comments Keep Rolling in on Rutherford Ave Project

Cookie Giordano's column is keeping the neighborhood talking -- and asking questions -- about the proposed redesign for Rutherford Ave.

Today is Tuesday, Oct. 25. Here are five things you need to know today.

1. It's pretty clear the community has a lot to say about the Rutherford Ave redesign project. We're seeing all kinds of fantastic discussion -- and lots of great questions being raised -- on Kathy has been watching neighborhood issues for decades, including this one. If you haven't read it yet, . And add yours.

2. Get in the Halloween spirit next week. The is hosting a reading on Thursday, Oct. 27 with Mark Bender. He'll tell spooky stories (starting at 4 p.m.) And every child that attends the program will be able to select two free books at the end of story time.

3. There's a to discuss a project under construction at 55 School St. Officials are just looking at the proposed curb cuts. Meeting starts at 7 p.m. at the Knights. 

4. Had your flu vaccination yet? The city has a  on Wednesday from 1-7 p.m. at the city's 1010 Mass. Ave. building. If you can't make that one, here's a link to find others.

5. Today's forecast: Sunny, with a high near 60. Some more wind: gusts between 9 and 17 mph. Some as high as 30 mph.
