5 Things To Know Today in Charlestown: Nov. 28

1. Wet weather: Expect a mix of rain and snow before 11 a.m., with a slight chance of rain between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. The rest of the day will be mostly cloudy with a high near 41 degrees and a low around 27. Little to no snow accumulation is expected.

2. Battle talk: William H. White, a local author and naval historian, will present an illustrated discussion of the major naval engagements that occurred during the first year of the War of 1812, tonight from 6-8 p.m. at the USS Constitution Museum in Charlestown. The program is free and open to all.

4. Hearing rescheduled: The Boston Conservation Commission’s enforcement hearing for the Shipyard Quarters Marina (Pier 8) and Pier 6 in the Charlestown Navy Yard has been rescheduled from today to Wednesday, Dec. 12. The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at City Hall. Read the full story here.
