BBQ food truck coming to Charlestown Navy Yard

Howdy Ya'll!

I’m Lili of Lilian’s Smokin’ Rack Barbecue. We are a new food truck that will be vending on Baxter Rd for lunch on Mondays starting April 7th.

I grew up in a small farm town just north of Dallas, TX. In 1996, I came to Boston to attend BU. Homesick for the food I grew-up on, I tried the store-bought dry rubs and sauces but was concerned with the artificial ingredients used in these products. Frustrated, I started experimenting with my own dry rubs and began selling them in 2011 at various craft fairs, farmers’ markets, and specialty grocers. Last summer, we expanded the business by operating a food truck serving our barbecue, catering private events.

Instead of basting our meats in barbecue sauces, which typically list high fructose corn syrup as one of the main ingredients, we use a barbecue dry rub. Our rubs are hand-blended in small batches using all-natural ingredients. No artificial flavors, additives, or preservatives are used.

We are committed to supporting the community. I have been a weekly volunteer at Community Servings for the past 7 years. Community Servings is a non-profit organization that provide home-delivered meals to individuals with life-threatening illnesses. We support other non-profits such as Boston+Acumen, Bug’s Bikes, and Rosie’s Place.

We are committed to having a low environmental impact. We compost and recycle the majority of our waste and will provide receptacles outside our truck. We take great pride in our work so cleanliness in and around the truck is highly important to us.

We share our love and passion for barbecue with our friends and family and want to extend that to you. We hope you will be able to stop by the truck to pay us a visit.
