As a part of Boston Fashion Week, City Hall Plaza has been looking as stylish as Newbury Street thanks to a Retail Fashion Truck Showcase.
Tay Mullah owns BRKFSTCLB, a life-skills building company, that Mullah conceived after counseling prisoners for 10 years. He realized the criminals were getting younger and younger, so he wanted to reach out to youth before they were in trouble.
"Each shirt is based upon a theory from an activist, researcher or a philosopher. The kids design the shirt," said Mullah, while sitting on the edge of the trailer.
Inside the trailers are hip t-shirts, pants, accessories, hats and for the Sneakerbox fashion trailer - sneakers.
The pilot Retail Fashion Truck Showcase is at Boston City Hall Plaza from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Oct. 6. It's free and open to the public. Goods are available for purchase.
