The Carrot Salesman Puppet Show plays this Sunday at the Knights of Columbus, plus four more kid-friendly events around the city.

We've assembled a weekly calendar of kid-friendly activities and new places to try out with children. Each week, we'll give you the info on the five best family activities or events for the week.

FAMILY BEST BETS OF THE WEEK

Where/When: Sunday, February 13 from 4-5 p.m. at the Why Go: Because they use the word 'salesrabbit.' And because there is fun audience interaction.  But most importantly, because the proceeds benefit the Pricing: $10

Where/When: Saturday, February 12 at 3 p.m. at Villa Victoria Center for the Arts
Why Go: A stunning performance and an opportunity for families to learn about new cultures

MAKE YOUR OWN SUNDAES AND BALLOONS
Where/When: Every Sunday at 5 p.m. at Jasper White's Summer Shack
Why Go: Because sundaes should reflect the unique individuality of the sundaemaker

YOUTH SCRABBLE TOURNAMENT
Where/When: Saturday, February 12 at 12 p.m. at the Robbins Library in Arlington
Why Go: Kids from the 4th through 12th grades exercise their minds while parents and friends silently cheer them on
Pricing: Free

FROZEN FUN FEST
Where/When: Sunday, February 13 from 2 - 4 p.m. at the Chestnut Hill Reservation in Brighton
Why Go: A great way to enjoy all this snow we've been blessed with
Pricing: Hiking and skating are free (rentals available for a fee)
