Planning to catch up on movies this summer? Whether you're relaxing in an air-conditioned theater, watching an outdoor summer movie series in the park, or going the old-fashioned route and pulling up at a drive-in—here's a list of free outdoor movie screenings you won't want to miss this summer. 

Boston Harbor Hotel shows classic films every Friday starting at dusk.

If you want an authentic drive-in movie experience, you'll have to hit the highway. The closest drive-in to Boston is the Mendon Twin. The nightly double-features start around 8:40 p.m. and generally start with a kids' movie followed by a summery blockbuster.
