Michael Maloney clearly doesn’t aim to be the next LL Cool J or Avril Lavigne—or even local favorites Dropkick Murphys or Mighty Mighty Boss Tones—but this son of a townie aims to bring his brand of mellow music to a growing audience.
According to an Maloney posted on Charlestown Patch, the singer-songwriter performed recently at the Medford Farmer's Market, as well as markets in Peabody, Winchester, Malden, Melrose, Arlington, the Yankee Home Coming Festival in Newburyport.
Gillette Stadium they aren’t, but they’re a start.
Maloney also put together a music video for his song “Back to Boston,” which features shots of Charlestown. See the video above.
