Daily 5: Cobblestone Kids Club at the Library, Navy Yard Concert and a Trunk Show

Deadlines, events and other items you should know about on Thursday, July 11 in Charlestown.

1. Possible rain: Thursday, July 11 will be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service. Some storms could produce heavy rain. High: 84, Low: 68.

2. Cobblestone Kids: Bring the kids by the Charlestown Branch Library (179 Main St.) on Thursday, July 11 at 4:30 p.m. to participate in a new kids club led by Park Ranger Beth from Boston National Historical Park. Junior Rangers will enjoy a snack, make a craft and start collecting stamps in their passport packets. Each month will feature a site of historical importance in Boston. 3. Swinging summer nights: Boston National Historical Park and Summer on the Waterfront is offering a series of free concerts at the Charlestown Navy Yard’s Pier 1 on Thursday evenings from July 11-25. The concerts run from 6-8:30 p.m. and feature a diversity of music. Jazz drummer Rodney Rocques and his quintet will open the series on July 11.

4. Trunk show: Charlestown Yoga (191 Main St.) will host a trunk show on Thursday, July 11 from 5-9 p.m. Enjoy free wine from Justin Vineyards, take yoga on the back deck at 6:15 p.m. ($16 or class cards), get discounts on yoga packages, watch demonstrations by BarSculpt instructor Jessica Diaz and take home samples of baby food by Purely Pears. Ten percent of the proceeds will benefit Boston Marathon bombing victim Jacqui Webb.

5. Make-A-Mark fundraiser: Courageous Sailing’s annual Make-A-Mark fundraiser is coming up one week from today, on Thursday, July 18, at Pier 4 in the Charlestown Navy Yard. Proceeds from the event help support inner city youth sailing programs that reach more than 1,000 children each year. Enjoy complimentary cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, a light dinner, dancing and great music along Boston’s waterfront. Tickets cost $75 each, with group discounts available, and can be purchased online.
