Courageous Sailing Group Aims to Host Summer Events in Charlestown

The group has requested a license to host events on Pier 4.

The Charlestown Neighborhood Council is supporting a request by Courageous Sailing to host events this summer on Pier 4, according to the Charlestown Patriot-Bridge.

Courageous Sailing, which works to provide low-cost sailing-based youth development opportunities to children and families throughout Boston, is looking to hold about 20 events in all, 10 in the daytime and 10 during the evening.

The events would be held under a tent measuring 50-feet by 100-feet, in an effort to fund the Courageous Youth Program. The tent would also be used as a shelter from inclement weather during the season, according to the report.
