Charlestown's Hodge Names Counsel at Choate, Hall & Stewart

Charlestown resident Emily Hodge was elected Counsel of the Litigation Department of Boston law firm Choate, Hall & Stewart LLP.

Hodge will continue to focus her practice on government enforcement and compliance and commercial litigation. Hodge has been an associate at Choate since 2006 and is a member of the firm’s Hiring Committee. 

At Choate, Hodge represents individuals and corporations in government and internal investigations and related litigation, including healthcare fraud, export violations, and securities fraud.

She is experienced in complex civil litigation and has prosecutorial experience as a Special Assistant District Attorney in Suffolk County at the Boston Municipal Court.

Hodge currently chairs Choate’s collaboration with the Lawyers Clearinghouse, which coordinates legal clinics at local homeless shelters.  She also was selected for the 2012-2013 Boston Bar Association’s prestigious and highly selective Public Interest Leadership Program.

She received her J.D., cum laude, from Georgetown University Law School in 2006 and her A.B., cum laude, from Harvard College in 2002.
