Zelma Lacey House Residents Observe Memorial Day

Residents of the Zelma Lacey House – a 66-unit assisted living community managed by Braintree-based real estate firm Peabody Properties, Inc. and located on West School Street in Charlestown – gathered Monday, May 26th, for a special Memorial Day observance in honor of all those who have served our country.

The residents came to together to remember lost loved ones and pledge their allegiance, singing patriotic songs and enjoying a traditional American barbecue for lunch.  Later that afternoon, the residents participated in a special ceremony, reflecting on the day, reciting poetry, offering a moment of silence and honoring veteran residents of the Zelma Lacey House for their service.
