Vinyl Street A Cappella and Sarah Murray of Charlestown Perform at Holiday Arts & Eats Festival

The first-ever Holiday Arts & Eats festival at Somerville’s Assembly Row, on December 6th-7th-and 8th, drew in approximately 6,000 attendees over the course of its 3 days. It featured over a dozen Food Trucks, 50 local handmade and Etsy artisans, children’s activities, live performances, and more. Among the performers were Vinyl Street A Cappella and Sarah Murray, both from Charlestown.

Vinyl Street A Capella is a post-collegiate group of young friends who just love to sing. Toghter since 2007, they’ve sung live on WERS 88.9, at the Boston Actors Theatre, and at the Nutcracker. Vinyl Street kicked off the Holiday Arts & Eats Festival as the opening act on Saturday, December 7th.

Sarah Murray is a country/pop singer/songwriter. She draws inspiration from Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson, among others. Even at the age of five, she would perform for her family, then finally about four years ago she picked up a guitar, started writing music and hasn’t looked back since. She’s rocked stages all across New England include the Saint Agrippina festival in the North End and is currently an artist at Bristol Recording and Voice Studios. Sarah performed with her guitarist, Kevin Morin, on Saturday afternoon.
