SEIU LOCAL 888 ENDORSES ROY AVELLANEDA

On Wednesday, SEIU Local 888 announced its endorsement of Roy Avellaneda for the 2nd Suffolk District special election to be held on March 4th.  This special election is to fill the seat recently vacated by State Rep. Eugene O’Flaherty (D-Chelsea) who left his seat to be the City of Boston Corporate Counsel for Mayor Marty Walsh.

“Roy Avellaneda is the most qualified candidate in the field, and we believe he will best represent the interest of working families in Chelsea and Charlestown,” said Mark DelloRusso, President of SEIU Labor 888.  “His experience as a Chelsea City Councilor, and his work at MassDOT, makes him uniquely qualified to represent this district.”
