RCN Donates $150,000 to Help Promote March for Babies

Three-Mile Walk Begins at DCR Hatch Shell on Saturday, May 10th

RCN Boston, leading provider of all-digital television, high speed internet and phone services, announced today that as the Boston March for Babies’ media sponsor, it has donated $150,000 worth of cross channel advertisements to promote the annual March of Dimes March for Babies event, scheduled for Saturday, May 10, 2014. Proceeds from March for Babies will go towards supporting education, community services, research, and advocacy that help babies get a healthy start to life.

“RCN is proud to be the media sponsor of March for Babies for the 8th consecutive year,” said Jeff Carlson, RCN Vice President and General Manager. “We value the importance of the March of Dimes mission, which is to prevent birth defects and infant mortality through research, education and community services and advocacy. The health and safety of children is a number one priority at RCN.”

RCN is dedicated to serving its communities by offering high-quality digital television, Internet and phone services – but more importantly, RCN understands the local communities it serves and is committed to much-needed philanthropic projects such as the March for Babies.

The three-mile walk will take off from Boston’s DCR Hatch Shell on Saturday, May 10, with registration beginning at 11:30 a.m.  The RCN tent will be handing out promotional giveaways and visitors will have the opportunity to enter a raffle for a chance to win a bigger prize. The RCN Ice Cream truck will also be onsite handing out free ice cream to participants.
