Marian Court College creates transfer agreement with Bunker Hill Community College

For many students, the path to a bachelor degree may begin at a community college.

Acknowledging that, Marian Court College and Bunker Hill Community College have created a new Transfer Articulation Agreement, which will enable a smooth transfer of Bunker Hill Community College graduates to enroll at Marian Court College, a four-year, co-educational, Catholic college located in Swampscott.

Bunker Hill students who graduate with an associate’s degree in Criminal Justice, with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or higher, will be guaranteed admission into Marian Court’s bachelor’s degree program in Criminal Justice under the terms of this agreement.  Graduates with an associate’s degree in Business, Entrepreneurship or Management, with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher, are guaranteed admission into Marian Court’s bachelor’s degree program in Business Administration.

The college offers convenient day and evening schedules and provides students with individualized opportunities, standards of professionalism and means to success during their education.

“This is an exciting opportunity as we continue to grow as a four-year institution,” said Marian Court College President Dr. Denise Hammon. “I hope many members of the graduating class of Bunker Hill Community College will take advantage of this seamless transition and continue their education.”

Marian Court has created a similar agreement with North Shore Community College.

Applications are currently being accepted for the fall. Day classes begin Sept. 4 and evening classes begin Sept. 10.
