Literacy Night at Good Shepherd School

Good Shepherd School celebrated their first annual Family Literacy Night on Thursday, April 10th. The event was a huge success with special guest readers and speakers (Miss Anne - our religious education teacher, Ms. Mary - a retired reading specialist and GSS substitute, Miss Laura - the local children’s librarian, and Kathy Tarintino and Sandy Leahy - authors of the children’s book The Hibernating House). Our event was complete with story time, family fun, a book signing with the authors, and a Scholastic book fair. The event was spearheaded by Miss Jesscia Scire, Ms. Pat and Miss Allison, and wouldn’t have been possible without the help of the rest of the GSS staff and volunteers. Thank you to all of the Good Shepherd School families that supported this wonderful event to celebrate literacy!
