Yoga for the Youngest Toddlers at the Branch Library, Open Swim at the Y

Events in Charlestown today.

• Forecast: Cold today, all day. Sunshine early followed by mostly cloudy skies this afternoon with the highs barely reaching 20 degrees. Winds from the west 10 to 15 mph.

• The Charlestown Branch Library at 179 Main Street will have yoga teacher Annika presenting Happy Baby Yoga classes.  At 10:30 a.m., babies from 6-18 months are invited, and at 11 a.m. there will be a special session for babies under 6 months.  Moms and caregivers will learn gentle stretches for babies and will enjoy rhymes and meditations.  Bring a comfy blanket for babies, but yoga mats are provided.  

• Kendall Square is inviting all Military members, Law Enforcement and First Responder officials as well as their guests and families to a free night of skating at the Kendall Square Ice Rink. Make sure to bring an ID to get in. It will take place from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at 300 Athenaeum St. in Cambridge.

• The Charlestown YMCA at 150 3rd Ave. will have at least one lane available for open swim from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
