Mask Making at the Branch Library, Cheese Club at Whole Foods

Mask making with the MFA, from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Charlestown Branch of the Boston Public Library, 179 Main St. Create your own personal façade by making masks with educators from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and adorn it with feathers, shapes or whatever you desire. For children, ages 6 and up.

• The first meeting of the year of Whole Foods Markets monthly Fromagerie Club is perfect for those wanting to expand upon or start their cheese knowledge. Join us for a sampling and, as always, a free goodie bag. At 6 p.m. at 51 Austin St.

• Alpha Landmark. 5 Middlesex Ave. 4th Floor, in Somerville, is welcoming the New Year with a full week of free co-working beginning today Monday, Jan. 6, through Friday, Jan. 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. They are opening the doors to the public and let you experience the collaborative, comfortable and flexible co-working space.
