Free Jazz in the Navy Yard Thursday Night

Deadlines, events and other items you should know about on Aug. 15 in Charlestown.

1. Sunny: Thursday, Aug. 15 will be sunny and clear with a high near 78 and a low around 60, according to the National Weather Service.

2. Navy Yard concert: The Friends of the Charlestown Navy Yard will sponsor a free concert at Shipyard Park in the Navy Yard on Thursday, Aug. 15 from 6-7:30 p.m. The Harvard Alumni Jazz Band will perform. Domino's Pizza will provide free pizza. 

3. Cobblestone Kids: Bring the kids by the Charlestown Branch Library (179 Main St.) on Thursday, Aug. 15 at 4:30 p.m. to participate in a new kids club led by Park Ranger Beth from Boston National Historical Park. Junior Rangers will enjoy a snack, make a craft and collect stamps in their passport packets. Each month will feature a site of historical importance in Boston. 4. Where should "City Hall To Go" go? Want the "City Hall To Go" truck to come to your neighborhood next Tuesday? Submit your preferred location by today via Twitter to @CityHallToGo. The most popular location will be announced on Twitter, and the vehicle will arrive there at 12:30 p.m.

5. Soccer with the pros: Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital is teaming up with The New England Revolution and Massachusetts General Hospital to give children with disabilities and their siblings an opportunity to meet and play soccer with Revolution players and coaches on Monday, Aug. 19 at Gillette Stadium. Registration is required, and all participants must be under 18.
