Start your St. Patrick’s Day celebration by joining the Charlestown Women’s Club at the Knight of Columbus, 545 Medford Street, Charlestown on Thursday March 14, 2013 6:30 to 8:30 PM. This event is free and open to the public.

Our featured speakers will be Tom Coots, President of the Charlestown Historical Society and Ed Callahan, Chairman of the Charlestown Historical Society’s Irish Committee.

They will be discussing the attempt to save the Carrickabraghy Castle in County Donegal's Inishowen Peninsula.

Friend of the Charlestown Women’s Club, State Representative  Eugene O’Flaherty, will also be joining us for the evening.

There will be complimentary Irish bread, sweets and hot beverages along with a cash bar.

Described as a Catholic fraternal benefit society, the Charlestown branch of the Knights of Columbus has two halls, one that accommodates 120 and one that accommodates 350. The basement serves as a members only facility that has a full bar and pool table, as well as several TVs that regularly feature sporting events. This facility requires membership for admission.
