The Charlestown Youth Hockey Association will host their 19th annual Bryan McGonagle Memorial Hockey Tournament on Friday, March 1, Saturday, March 2 and Sunday, March 3 at the DCR rink in Charlestown.
This tournament is held annually in honor of a young Charlestown hockey player whose life came to a tragic end 19 years ago. His family has been such a great supporter of Charlestown Youth Hockey and is very proud to have this tournament in his honor.
The following teams will be participating in the tournament:
- Girls Under 14—Charlestown; Beaver Dam, NY; Haverhill/Pentucket; and Arlington
- Girls Under 12—Charlestown; Beaver Dam, NY
- Boys Squirt C—Charlestown, Stoneham, South Boston and Dorchester
Games will begin on Friday evening and will continue through the weekend. There will be many raffles and great prizes throughout the event.
The community is invited to come down to the rink to support Charlestown Youth Hockey and enjoy some great girls and boys hockey action.

More About Emmons Horrigan O'Neill Memorial Rink
The Emmons Horrigan O'Neill rink is managed by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation. The rink is open for public skating from October to March.
