The Artists’ Group of Charlestown will be hosting its annual Open Studios and “Small Wonders” Exhibition the first weekend of December. Painters, sculptors, photographers, and artists working in many other mediums will open their studios to the public to showcase their current works. Artists will be in their studios available for discussion, and many artworks will be for sale. The studios will be open on all three floors of the StoveFactory. Visiting Open Studios is a great opportunity to check out some local creations and to meet artists from the community.

The second floor will hold a Holiday Boutique featuring artists and crafters selling many unique handmade items. Come browse the boutique for some great gifts in time for the holidays!

The “Small Wonders” Exhibition is in the gallery on the first floor and will feature a number of small paintings by Artists’ Group of Charlestown members and other artists from the Boston area. Open Studios, “Small Wonders” exhibition and the Holiday Boutique will be open from 10-5. All events at the StoveFactory are free to the public.

The StoveFactory events coincide with the Charlestown Holiday Stroll, which will include many local restaurants, stores, and other businesses.  A free trolley will be making rounds and will allow visitors to stop at participating businesses on the map, including The StoveFactory. The StoveFactory is also a short walk from the Sullivan Square T stop and bus routes 92 and 93.

The StoveFactory Gallery has been home to the Artists' Group of Charlestown since 2002. The space originally housed a stove factory and a refrigeration company, but the Artists' Group converted it into eight studios and 950 square feet of gallery space. The group hosts regular figure drawing classes, art shows and silent auctions there.
