More About St. Francis de Sales Church
At the top of Bunker Hill sits St. Francis de Sales Church, a Catholic place of worship founded on Sept. 11, 1859. The church is home to North America's largest crucifix, which hangs in gold from its decorated ceiling. Only eight pastors have served in the church since its inception, the current one leading the congregation since 1979. Mass is celebrated daily. The church offers help to women suffering from post-abortion depression and youths in need of guidance.
