 arine Society\n&ldquo\;Honey\, I Shrunk the Ships!&rdquo\;\nBOSTON&mdash
 \; Members of the USS Constitution Model Shipwright Guild display the fi
 nest of their craft at the USS Constitution Museum this winter in a War 
 of 1812 themed exhibition.&nbsp\; Commemorating 200 years of peace betwe
 en the United States and the United Kingdom\, this unique display is ope
 n to the public beginning February 2\, 2012 through March 23\, 2012.&nbs
 p\; The Museum and exhibition of models is open to all daily from 10:00 
 AM &ndash\; 5:00 PM. Donations are encouraged.&nbsp\;\nOver 50 different
  ships created by modelers from across New England will be on display\, 
 presenting a variety of reproductions from War of 1812 vessels\, to mode
 rn ships\, and ships-in-bottles.&nbsp\; Modelers have masterfully captur
 ed the richness of our maritime history in miniature. &nbsp\;A panel of 
 Guild members judge qualifying entries on scale\, detail and artistic ex
 cellence to award the top craftsmen in respective categories.\nIf you ha
 ve ever wondered\, &ldquo\;How do they get that ship in a bottle?&rdquo\
 ; - Volunteers from the USS Constitution Model Shipwright Guild will be 
 on hand to answer your questions and demonstrate the technique\, time an
 d skill required to build a mini - masterpiece.&nbsp\; After a visit to 
 the Model Show\, stop in the &ldquo\;Old Ironsides Discovery Center&rdqu
 o\; to learn about the causes and consequences of the War of 1812 and br
 ush up on your history.&nbsp\; It was during this war that USS Constitut
 ion earned her famous nickname\,&rdquo\; Old Ironsides&rdquo\; and our y
 oung nation came together as a unified people.&nbsp\; &nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbs

 he USS Constitution Model Shipwright Guild encourages the art of constru
 cting model ships and supports research in nautical history through its 
 workshops\, educational activities\, and exhibits. It is among the large
 st ship model associations on the East Coast with more than 100 members.
  The Guild meets on the first Tuesday of every month and encourages thos
 e who are interested to attend their meeting at the USS Constitution Mus
