One sure sign that it's getting closer to spring: Events in Charlestown are picking up. In the last week Bunker Hill Community College hosted the Almost Famous Chef competition, the Artist's Group of Charlestown hosted their annual jewelry show and the Women's Club marked its monthly meeting with a line dance.
This week in Charlestown was marked by near-zero temperatures, a city councilor pushing for tougher verification standards on employment eligibility and a winning streak for Townies hoops.
