We posted an article yesterday highlighting criticism made by Rev. Daniel Mahoney of the St. Francis De Sales Church toward Jack Millerick, executive director of the Life Focus Center.
Mahoney suggested that Millerick should stop down from his post following reports that he misspent agency funds. Charlestown Patch readers echoed Mahoney's calls while taking care to praise the priest.
"God bless Father Dan Mahoney. No one is going to drag him through the mud," Donna Henderson OBrien wrote on our Facebook page.
Susan Flahery offered a similar comment: "Good for Father Mahoney a very honorable man steps up to do what's right once again!"
A read calling him or herself 'mm,' also praised Mahoney, then turned on Millerick.
"Millerick is the sole person to be targeted since he is the only THIEF!" mm wrote. "Time for him to lose his cushy job and deal with what ever punishment he gets."
Several commentors concluded that the only way for the agency to reclaim its credibility would be to purge its leaders.
"LFC does meaningful work, but the staff has a severe credibility issue that can only be solved by cleaning house," wrote Stephen Raymond "Everyone has to go. That organization is too small to think that they all didn't know/see what was going on."

Millerick and all his cronies should step down. The Board allowed all this to happen. They couldn't have been paying much attention or they were all in on it. It should be replaced.

We just spoke to Justine Griffin, LFC's spokesperson. According to her, Millerick has not stepped down.

Scathing article in the other Charlestown Newspaper. If only Jim Conway was around...oh ya he owned that paper and was on the LFC payroll. I believe his wife Glo was on the board? I believe the LFC delivered his newspapers...hmmmm
