Alleged Boston gangster James "Whitey" Bulger is being housed at while awaiting his arraignment on 19 murders.

Bulger, 81, went before a federal judge Friday in Boston on a bail hearing after being caught in Santa Monica, California by federal investigators living with his long-time girlfriend Catherine Greig, 60, on a tip from an Icelandic woman who lives part-time in Santa Monica, according to WCVB TV.

Plymouth County, as the only prison in the state to house federal inmates, will be Bulger's home until, at least, his arraignment, and likely longer. The sheriff's department has not confirmed Bulger's arrival.
