These are both fine florists and I've used both. My preference for Raspberry Bouquet is based solely on the personal and creative attention that Lauren provides to each floral situation that I've presented. I was especially impressed by her approach to a recent family wedding that resulted in both an excellent floral accent at a fraction of the estimate of other florists. Her focus was not on the flowers as a centerpiece but rather how the floral arrangements would complement the event in the context of the venue....brilliantly conceived and executed!

I have to say this Poll is difficult in Charlestown because there are not too many Main Street Businesses like in other Boston Communities. Both of these florists offer beautiful designs. Both are lovely people, amazing design, attention to detail. I use both because I feel badly choosing one over the other! I have actually ordered a bouquet from each on the same day! When I have Brides to refer, I refer to both confidently knowing that whomever she picks will be a good decision. I am not usually wishy washy, but truly, Charlestown is spoiled for choice with these two establishments.

I am totally with you, Abby! As I said before, every business in Charlestown is the best business. Local businesses enhance our quality of life here and make us proud. Whose day isn't brightened by the lovely windows, cheery outdoor displays of plants and flowers? Who doesn't love to stop and chat with the owners and see their lovely work in action. I vote both!

Both florists are very talented and lovely people! I use both, but must give the nod to Bunker Hill Florist. They did my wedding 13 years ago and I still have such wonderful memories of the flowers that day!

I think having the best of anything in Charlestown is not very constructive especially in our small square mile that has very few retail business. The only one who gains is THE PATCH advertising department not the small business of our neighborhood who work hard every day to exist.

I agree that pitting businesses against each other in our small community, in which so many are working hard to survive, and where there isn't a lot of competition to start with, doesn't seem to be in anyone's best interest. I absolutely agree with everyone in that we are blessed with two amazing florists in Charlestown. I've had wonderful experiences with both Bunker Hill Florist and Raspberry Bouquet and try to give them both my business.

I think they should replace this "best of" for charlestown with something focused on highlighting new businesses or new parts to existing businesses... so we don't put the few businesses up against each other but rather focus on the positives of the limited businesses we do have here in charlestown.

Sorry if we caused any of these businesses any unwarranted stress. One of the biggest motivating factors behind Patch’s Readers’ Choice survey is to get the word out about the wonderful local businesses in the community. And from the flattering reviews here, you helped spread the word about two great businesses. Thanks for your comments. It’s what makes Charlestown Patch unique and a great resource to all.

I have just used Bunker Hill Florist for my daughter's wedding at the DeCordova Museum Joe and Larry did an outstanding fabulous gorgeous presentation of all white flowers.
