What's Open on Thanksgiving Day in Charlestown?
All state and city offices will be closed for the holiday.
Thanksgiving will be observed on Thursday, Nov. 22. Here's a handy list of what's open (not much) and what's closed (pretty much everything) during the holiday:

Bars and Restaurants: Open at owner's discretion; many are closed.
Library: All branches of the Boston Public Library, including the Charlestown location, will be closed today. The Charlestown branch is currently closed for renovations. It is expected to reopen on Nov. 26.
MBTA: Subway lines will follow a Sunday schedule today. All commuter lines will run on a regular weekday schedule except the Needham, Kingston/Plymouth, Greenbush and Fairmount lines, which will have no service. Most buses and trackless trolleys will operate on a Sunday schedule; however, several bus lines will not run today, including Bus 92 in Charlestown. For full schedules, visit www.mbta.com.
Municipal Offices: Closed (including City Hall, public schools, libraries and community centers)
Museums: The Battle of Bunker Hill Museum and USS Constitution Museum are both closed today and will reopen on Friday. Also closed: Boston Museum of Science, Boston Children's Museum and all other museums around the city.
Parking Meters: Free (other parking rules remain in effect)
Post Office: All U.S. Postal Service locations, including the Charlestown post office, are closed today.
Retail Stores: All closed according to state law.
Stock Market: Closed. The NYSE, NYSE AMEX and NASDAQ will close trading early (at 1 p.m.) on Friday, Nov. 23.
Street Cleaning: No daytime street cleaning on Thursday, Nov. 22 (except overnight cleaning 12 a.m. to 7 a.m. on posted arterials). Resumes 12:01 a.m. Friday as listed on posted arterials.
Supermarkets, Liquor Stores and Convenience Stores: Closed.
Tow Lot Hours: Closed 11 p.m. Wednesday through 7 a.m. Friday (kiosks open 24 hours for cash, Visa or MasterCard payments).
Trash/Recycling: Collections will be done one day late for Thursday and Friday collections except Boston proper, Roxbury and Charlestown.
YMCA: The Constitution Inn YMCA and other Greater Boston Y locations will be open limited hours, from 7 a.m. to noon.
