We've taken a look at a total of six vacant retail properties in Charlestown over the past month and a half.

The upshot of our weekly Visions for Vacancy feature has been two pronged:

1) We've run out of vacant properties we can think of.

2) A few themes have emerged on what kind of business you want to see in town.

This week, we decided to take a look the kinds of businesses people have brought up when looking at these empty storefronts.

Take a look at the poll below and vote on which kind of property you think the town most needs.

And, if you can think of a vacant property that we haven't featured, let us know at mattc@patch.com.

If you agree on the Trader Joe's please fill this form out - it's quick - http://www.traderjoes.com/about/location-requests-form.asp

If many of us fill that out, perhaps they will steer their attention to Charlestown

Menino and the ABCC needs to stop limiting liquor licenses and let small, corner pubs and wine bars open. This would make businesses more competitive so that we wouldn't get fleeced to go somewhere and get a drink. It's amazing how much more affordable prices are in places like Charlotte, NC, Austin, TX, even in New York City!
