VIDEO: Charlestown Band Seeks Help Funding Next Album
The Ducky Boys, a street punk band that formed in Charlestown nearly 20 years ago, is looking for your help funding its next album.
The group launched a campaign on Kickstarter recently, aiming to raise $15,000 in the next three weeks to pay for an album they expect to release in March.
The group, in its Kickstarter write-up, said the new album will feature 14 new songs and be released under the band's own State Line Records label.
Backers of the project will earn an array of awards, ranging downloads of new songs to copies of the album to a cover song recorded by the band just for you.
The group formed in 1995, and has earned some notoriety in the local music scene—even earning a shout-out from the Dropkick Murphy's in the album version of Dropkick's "Barroom Hero."
