This Weekend in Charlestown: Veterans Day Pancake Breakfast
Here's a look at some of the events happening Saturday and Sunday in the neighborhood.
The Charlestown Lions Club's annual Veterans Day Pancake Breakfast is coming up on Sunday, Nov. 11. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at the Knights of Columbus Hall.
The Lions Club invites the community to, "Come join family, friends and neighbors to honor our veterans, and those who serve their community for pancakes, sausages, pastries, coffee and juice."
The cost is a $5 donation per person. Children ages 5 and under get in free.
The event will also feature a free eye and health screening by the Lions Eyemobile as well as raffles, a 50/50 and prizes.
Here's a look at some other events going on this weekend in Charlestown:
• Charlestown Youth Hockey Open House—Emmons Horrigan O'Neill Memorial Rink, 150 Rutherford Ave., Charlestown; Saturday, Nov. 10, 12-1 p.m.
• Family Fun Weekend—USS Constitution Museum, 1 Constitution Plz, Charlestown; Saturday, Nov. 10 and Sunday, Nov. 11, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Veterans Day Mass—St. Francis de Sales Church, 303 Bunker Hill St., Charlestown; Sunday, Nov. 11, 11 a.m.
