Should Boston Schools Have Been Closed Today?
It snowed throughout the night, making roads slick and dangerous, and many bus stops and sidewalks are still covered.

Boston Public Schools did not close school today despite the continued snowfall throughout the night and into this afternoon.
With sidewalks, streets and bus stops all needing to be plowed, should Boston schools have been cancelled today?
Boston Public Schools have already said they will forgive all absences today, according to WBZ's Beth Germano.
Boston Public Schools posted that school was open today, and a message about buses: "Some school buses are delayed due to heavy traffic in the city. All of our school buses are on the road and will complete their scheduled routes this morning and afternoon. If you have school bus transportation questions, please call our Transportation Hotline at 617-635-9520."
But some parents feel otherwise, such as Roslindale's Karen Kast who tweeted: "Car slid & then stuck trying 2 take kid 2 school ..." this morning.
Kast also tweeted a photo of the Kilmer School in West Roxbury, "Kilmer School front stairs not even shoveled AFTER school started & neither r sidewalks."

After looking out my window at 12:30pm and the snow is still fallini guess my answer would be, YES
Had to take my granddaughter to school this am and it was terrible, no plows, no side Streets cleared or sidewalks.
This storm in my opinion, (which is only mine) is worst than the blizzard!
And it is still snowing now, and for the first time today a plow just went by my house!
Unbeleivable,what is going to happen when school gets out? With all the buses?

So does this mean that Boston didn't need to use a snow day today....don't call off school and forgive all absences???? Sounds like a way to get around a 'snow day'?

Maybe, maybe not. Too late now. But those who made it survived. A little crappy weather isn't the end of the world.
