Police Search for Missing Man with Alzheimer's
The 79-year-old Charlestown resident was found safe about two hours later.
An elderly man with advanced Alzheimer’s went missing from a Medford Street residence early Thursday morning but was located a short time later.
According to an alert that went out on Twitter at 12:17 a.m., a Boston Police sergeant was requesting cars to help search for the male, described as a 79-year-old black male with advanced Alzheimer’s. The man reportedly was a native of Sudan and did not speak any English. He had been missing for about an hour and a half.
At around 1:03 a.m., an updated tweet stated that the man had been located on McNulty Court, behind his home. Police requested emergency medical services to the man’s residence.
