Police Reports: Man with Knife Attacks Deaf Woman

Deaf Woman Attacked by Man with Knife

A deaf woman on Medford Street was attacked by a man with a knife while she was taking out the trash on Saturday, June 1.

The resident was outside at around 9:30 p.m. when a man came up behind her and placed his hand over her mouth and forced her between two Dumpsters, according to the police report. The man then placed a knife to the woman’s threat and began talking; however, the woman was unable to understand what he was saying because she is deaf. The man left the area without taking anything.

The woman suffered a red abrasion to her throat. She was unable to see the suspect because of the Dumpsters and the confined area, according to the report.

The incident remains under investigation.

TV Stolen from Bunker Hill Street Business

An individual reported on Tuesday, May 28 that someone had stolen a flat-screen television from his Bunker Hill Street business. The man told police he believed the thief might have been an ex-employee; the day before the TV went missing was the employee’s last day at work. Boston Police are investigating.

Three Arrested for Cocaine Possession

Three local residents were arrested for cocaine possession during a drug investigation in the Bunker Hill Street area on Wednesday, May 29. The official charge was “possession of a Class B substance.”

Hundred-Dollar Bills Stolen from Luggage

An individual on Third Avenue reported on Tuesday, May 28 that someone had stolen two $100 bills from his luggage. The theft took place sometime between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. The matter is under investigation.

Reports of Shots Fired

Police responded to McNulty Court for the report of shots fired at around 1 a.m. on Saturday, June 1. Officers searched the area for ballistic evidence but did not locate any items. Police were unable to get back in touch with the individual who made the initial report.
