Police Log: Golf Clubs Stolen From Locked Garage

Notable incidents from the District A-15 Police Log for July 23-26.

 

On Monday, July 23 around 8:40 a.m. a victim living on Main Street told police that someone had stolen a bag of golf clubs from her car. She told police that the vehicle was not locked, but it was parked in a garage that should have been. She discovered the golf clubs missing the previous Friday morning.

  • Officers responded to a report of vandalism on Decatur Street.
  • Police arrested Gilbert Peterson of 53 Tufts Street on an outstanding warrant related to an earlier bicycle theft.
  • Officers responded to a report of vandalism on Medford Street.
  • A victim parked on Green Street reported that someone stole valuables worth at least $200 from his vehicle.
  • Police responded to a report of a theft of valuables worth at least $200 from a Bunker Hill Street address.

Tuesday, July 24

  • Police responded to a report of an assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on Old Landing Way. As a result of the incident, police arrested Marylou Tracy of 6 Old Landing Way.
  • Police responded to a report of simple assault on Medford Street.

  • A victim parked on Adams Street reported that someone stole valuables worth at least $200 from his vehicle.

I saw an empty golf bag under the Tobin Bridge ramp (across from the 5th St. entrance to the Navy Yard) on Wednesday morning. I wonder if the bag was discarded.

Same thing happened to me in the parking garage on Warren and Henley about 5 years ago!!!
