Kim Landry sent Patch this fantastic panoramic shot. She wrote, "Wow...great job by the city....too bad no benches in the outfield on the walking path by the water....be a great place for familes to sit and watch games."

The City's Parks and Recreation Department has been working on renovations and upgrades at the Barry Playground (better known as the Oilies), under the Tobin Bridge.

Crews added new grading, irrigation, backstops, fencing, drainage and sod. About $850,000 worth of work, all told. Work on the field was part of the city's rolling reinvestment in parks that need upgrades, according to an official from the department.
