Charlestown Patch readers shared a lot of great shots from yesterday's snowfall, including this view of the Zakim Bridge from the dog park at Gavin Memorial Park in Charlestown, by Amanda Zettel.
Got a great photograph of Charlestown? It can be of something big or small, grand or simple. Whatever captures your eye, capture it on your camera, too, and email it to becca.manning@patch.com, text to 781-217-4233 or tweet @CharlestwnPatch. Then add in a line or two about where or when the photo was taken.
We'll run them as quickly as possible, posting a new photo every day on Charlestown Patch.

Galvin Green is not a dog park it is a highway loop ramp and it is not easy to access the site because of traffic.

Mass Highway gives no permission or responsibility for its use other than a highway loop ramp although they have permitted the General Galvin statue and the September 11, 2001 Memorial. The area that is fenced off but used is because the soil came from a contaminated site.

That's what they originally thought, but the soil testing came back good, so they landscaped the park beautifully with large stone boulders, stone benches, trees strategically placed and they put up signs to pick up after your dogs!
